Early life and education
Vineeta Singh was born in 1983 in Anand, Gujarat. She comes from a family of smart people. Her mother, who has a PhD, and father, Tej P. Singh, who is a biophysicist at the prestigious All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, gave her a good education. Vineeta finished school at Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram in 2001. She then went to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras for college and got a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 2005. After that, she continued her education by getting an MBA from the famous Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, in 2007.
In 2006, Vineeta did an internship at Deutsche Bank during the summer while she was getting her MBA. Even though she was offered a job with a good salary of Rs 1 crore a year, she chose to follow her dream of starting her own business. Vineeta and another graduate wanted to start a lingerie business together, but they had trouble getting the money they needed, so they gave up on the plan. This early failure, on the other hand, made her even more determined to be successful as an entrepreneur.
Career
Starting her first business, Quetzal, in 2007, Vineeta Singh set out to become an entrepreneur. Its goal was to help recruiters do background checks. The business, however, did not take off. Not giving up, she started her second business, Fab-Bag, in 2012, which is a subscription service that sends beauty items every month. Sugar Cosmetics, Singh’s third business, was started in 2015 with the help of her husband. Sugar Cosmetics became well-known after getting a $50 million deal with the private equity company L Catterton. They make cosmetics and personal care products that are specifically made for the Indian market. Singh stressed that the brand was dedicated to meeting the needs of Indian women with all kinds of skin tones.
Many people know Singh from her work as a businesswoman. She has been on the covers of prestigious business magazines like Forbes India, Business Today, and Businessworld. In interviews with publications like Business Today, she talked freely about problems, such as instances of gender discrimination in getting money.
Forbes India put Singh on its top Forbes India W-Power list of women achievers in 2021 because of all she had done. Singh grew her business skills in 2023 when she worked with Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan to bring the Korean skincare brand Quench Botanics to India.

Personal life
A woman named Vineeta Singh married Kaushik Mukherjee in 2011. They have two kids together. They met for the first time while they were both students at IIM Ahmedabad.
Singh is also a very active person who loves outdoor sports when she’s not running her businesses. Over the course of her career, she has completed 12 half-marathons and 20 marathons and ultramarathons. Singh famously ran the tough 89-km Comrades Marathon from 2012 to 2014. The amazing thing she did in 2017 was finish the Ironman Triathlon in Austria. Singh stayed committed to working out even while she was pregnant. Her amazing athleticism and drive showed when she ran 21 km in just 2 hours, 42 minutes, and 51 seconds in the 2018 Mumbai Marathon, even though she was six months pregnant.
